Saturday, October 1, 2011 - 10:00am NMO is co-hosting a meet on Saturday, October 1st with the NM Adventure Racing Club. The Orienteering meet will consist of White, Yellow, Orange and Green courses. There will also be a 4hr "Sport" Course Adventure Race entailing mountain biking, trekking and orienteering. Meet Site is at the Oak Flats picnic area in the Cibola National Forest. Sunday, July 10, 2011 (All day) - Saturday, July 16, 2011 (All day) Boy Scouts of America conferences at the Philmont Training Center include a weeklong course on Orienteering and Scouting. From the 2010 schedule: This course offers instruction in basic orienteering skills, planning and leading orienteering events across all Programs - from Cub Scouts to Second and First Class ranks and Orienteering Merit Badge to Venturing. Time will be equally divided between classroom and outdoor activities.
